The MT Platoon  Say Farewell to the Horse
August 1936 the MT platoon said farewell to the horse and became a Mechanical Transport Platoon. The change over took place at Pirbright. The platoon grew to 38 strong and contained four 15cwt trucks known as bugs as well as two dispatch riders (Don Rs).
